Maddie CD TD ADM JDM
18.08.1997 – 07.08.2010

Maddie was the first dog at Gippsland to gain her ADM and then her JDM.
She started trialling late in 1999  and got her first pass at Bairnsdale in 2000. She received her ADM title in April 2001 and her JDM in June 2003.
When Maddie started trialling Jumping didn’t exist and when she stopped trialling Games hadn’t even started.
She loved agility, her trialling career only lasted 4 years, we stopped trialling in October 2003 after she injured her knee fooling around at home.
If I knew then what I do now, she would have had her titles much earlier – she was a very agile dog, nice tidy runs, good speed but not manic and she listened.
You know the old saying Great Dog shame about the handler – that was us -  my handling skills were definitely lacking, I left my calls late but she obliged with some wonderful work and compensated for me in just about every run.

....Elaine, Maddie's trainer and handler.

Maddie trialled before many of the newer Games Disciplines such as Gamblers Snooker, and Strategic Pairs were in existence.

Tto the right and below is Beau.  He is a lovely, gentle soft-natured Golden Retriever.  He got is AD and JDX under the training and handling of Shirley.  He has recently retired from Agility, due to increasing age, although he continues to compete in less physically demanding disciplines.

Max,  the little pocket rocket.   This dog got his AD and JD.  Being a little dog (Pomeranian x Jack Russel Terrier) he a great job.  He trialled in the days before smaller dogs were given additional time which allows them to compete against their larger and faster mates.  Max was  always willing to please but didnt really love agility.  He has been retired due to age, as well as a fear of the See-Saw, which he couldn't overcome.

Below and the the left is Jessie.  He  was a great dog and was his owners first dog.    He was the one who got Renee interested

in Agility, and ultimately starte it allHe taught her alot, and was a bit of a  trouble maker.  He got his JD title.

Jessie was a Border Collie/Kelpie, and is   now no longer with us.

These two photos (above, and left) are of  Ellie.  She is a Golden Retriever, bred,  trained and Handled by one of GODC's Members.  She has            her JD Title.
