"Joey"
His agility career is only beginning but we are hoping to do more this year too. He still lives up to his nickname of "Sir Bouncealot" as he has boundless enthusiasm for life in general & performance in particular. He also has a sideline in fishing at the beach having managed to catch a few fish that were silly enough to be found in the shallows at the right time as far as he is concerned. This stunning portrait of Joey was taken in 2013, and shows his typical bright friendly gaze. Here he is shown in typical 'Poodle Cut', with face shaved. |  |
Ears blowing in the breeze and feather-duster tail in the air, Joey demonstrates the typical ability of his breed to JUMP! Poodles are often thought of as 'pretty'. They are in fact very energetic and versatile dogs, excelling at several disciplines, including Obedience, Tracking, and of course Agility!! In some parts of the world, they are used as Guide Dogs for the Blind.  |  ABOVE: Looking happy and as if he's hardly working, Joey clears the single bar jump with just a little bit of room to spare! It is a good representation of conformation for a fit Standard Poodle, the cropped coat giving a great view of the firm musculature.
