Welcome to Gippsland Agility.
We are part of Gippsland Obedience Dog Club, and train our dogs for ANKC and NADAC agility trials. Gippsland Agility is performing at the Dog Lover's Show Melbourne, on May 2, 3, & 4. Come along and see us at the Rose-Hip Vital Main Arena at 3:30pm every day! AGILITY INTAKE DAYS FOR 2014:
The Handler must be a financial member of GODC. The dog must be a minimum of 9 – 12 mnths of age. (large breeds and long-backed dogs such as wolf-hounds or dachsunds may have different requirements. Please ask one of the Agility Instructors.) Handler and dog must demonstrate control including an off-lead sit stay with recall to the satisfaction of the Agility Instructor. The dog must exhibit socially acceptable behaviour towards other dogs and people in the group. All handlers in the group are required to assist with the setting up of the equipment for training, and putting equipment away at the end of the sessions. Note: an experienced handler who has competed in this discipline may join the group with a dog younger than 9 months of age at the discretion of the Instructors, under the proviso that the dog does not perform any obstacle that may cause physical harm e.g. jumping, the Dog Walk/A Frame at full height.
